The Dante Festival draws to a conclusion on Friday. Attendees on the Knavesmire have another excellent card to look forward to, featuring a couple of Listed contests and the Group Two Yorkshire Cup.

Here are my best betting tips for Friday's ITV races at York.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 15th May

2:20pm York - Michael Seely Memorial Fillies' Stakes Tips

All seven of the runners in this Listed contest look to have some sort of chance. FASHION PEOPLE (7/1) has impressed me in her two starts, and James Doyle's mount has been drawn nicely in stall three.

John and Thady Gosden's filly motored clear of her rivals to make a winning racecourse debut at Newcastle in November. Fashion People then transferred that performance to turf at Yarmouth two weeks ago, where she again powered clear of a fairly mediocre field to win as easily as she liked.

By Mehmas out of a Sea The Stars filly, Fashion People is bred to be a pattern-level performer, and she's looked stylish on her two appearances to date. Stepping up to a mile won't be a problem at all, and she could be even more effective with a little bit of cut in the ground.

2:55pm York - Support Macmillan Charity Raceday On 13 June Handicap Tips

I was really keen on TONY MONTANA'S (5/1) chances in this contest going into last year's Dante Festival. David Egan's mount ran a lovely race, and looked set to win, only for Thunder Run to fly home and pip the well-backed favourite to the post.

Tony Montana struggled in four of his next five starts, including two defeats here on the Knavesmire. Egan's mount did run well on his penultimate outing of the season at the Curragh, and was moved to Kevin Philippart de Foy's stable at the end of the campaign.

Back over a mile on his reappearance in the Spring Cup, Tony Montana shaped really well, hitting the line hard back in sixth having looked outpaced for much of the contest. Stepping back up in trip is sure to suit, and Egan has landed a lovely draw in stall five.

3:30pm York - Marygate Fillies' Stakes Tips

Nine of the ten fillies in this Listed contest managed to win on their most recent start. I don't fancy backing anything at a short price, so I'm going to chance my arm with MARGARET'S PEARL (28/1) for the in-form Lemos De Souza.

Margaret's Pearl was an unfancied 20/1 shot on her racecourse debut at Wolverhampton, but showed some talent and tenacity to finish just two lengths behind Lover Girl in fourth. Jason Hart's mount then got off the mark at Pontefract, where De Souza's filly raced prominently throughout and showed plenty of guts to repel two challengers in the closing stages.

A'Ali had a solid first season as a stallion last term, with many of his first crop of two-year-olds coping well with slower ground. Margaret's Pearl has landed a nice low draw in stall three. She shouldn't be discounted lightly.

4:40pm York - Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Handicap Tips

ENTAILED (20/1) is an interesting runner in this five-furlong handicap. Formerly trained by Andrew Balding for Cheveley Park Stud, this daughter of Harry Angel was sold to northern owners for £27k at the end of last season, and moved to Gemma Tutty's yard.

Tutty's recruit ran a cracker on his stable debut at Thirsk last month. Entailed broke smartly from stall one and travelled nicely throughout. Simplify proved too strong in the closing stages, but the 50/1 outsider stuck to her guns well to finish just a neck behind

Schrodinger's Cat in third.

Entailed ran in some classy juvenile races last season, having won her maiden nicely at Sandown. This mark of 80 is certainly workable, and Rossa Ryan has been booked to take Friday's ride.
