A whole heap of racing will be shown live on ITV Racing on Good Friday, including most of the card on All-Weather Finals Day at Newcastle.

I don't follow all-weather racing over the winter, and I rarely bet in that sphere. However, last year's card yielded a couple of 14/1 winners and even a 200/1 winner, so there's plenty of scope for backing horses at big prices - something I certainly do enjoy.

Here are my best betting tips for Friday's ITV races.

1:50pm Newcastle - All-Weather 3 Year Old Championships Handicap Tips


Ollie Sangster's winning machine, Al Najashi heads this betting heat. I'd rather take a punt on his second runner, ETERNAL SOLACE (25/1) at a much bigger price.

Sangster's filly ran in a couple of Listed races on turf last season, winning at Lingfield in-between. Joanna Mason was in the saddle when Eternal Solace flew home from the rear to get within a neck of Ten Carat Harry when the two met for the first time in November.

Eternal Solace hasn't fared as well on her last two starts, but she could be well-handicapped and an abundance of front-runners in this contest should ensure she has the right pace set-up. She can go well from stall 11.

3:00pm Newcastle - All-Weather Championships Mile Handicap Tips


DOSMAN (16/1) has been going well throughout this all-weather season, and Oli Rix's five-year-old can challenge in this valuable contest.

Once rated as high as 97 for Jamie Osbourne, Dosman hasn't finished outside of the money in his last four starts for Rix. Jonny Peate's mount wasn't beaten far when third to Witch Hunter in the trial here at Newcastle, and was beaten a neck on his next visit to the track, before claiming a deserved victory at Southwell two weeks later.

Dosman returned from a month off the track with a fine effort behind First Principle at Wolverhampton, where he was only beaten a neck after a sluggish start. Peate's mount has already won on the back of a two-week lay off this winter, and remains well-treated off this mark of 92.

3:35pm Newcastle - All-Weather Sprint Handicap Tips


Sir Les Patterson tops this betting heat, following a cosy victory at Dundalk. CITY HOUSE (18/1) came home well from an awful position at the rear that day to finish two lengths behind Sir Les Patterson off level weights, and there will be eight pounds between the two Irish raiders in the handicap on Friday.

A multiple winner in Bahrain for George Scott last year, City House has experience running around British all-weather tracks. Adrian McGuinness' recruit won at Kempton in 2023, and suffered two three-length defeats on his previous starts at Newcastle.

Having finished last on his first two starts for the stable, City House's runner-up effort at Dundalk was a step in the right direction, and Adam Caffrey's mount is well-handicapped on some of his old form.

4:10pm Newcastle - All-Weather Easter Classic Middle Distance Handicap Tips


ZRYAN (16/1) is an interesting runner in the Easter Classic. David O'Meara's five-year-old has recorded two victories and a runner-up effort from his four starts over further than a mile, and got trapped in traffic when attempting to make inroads from the rear when tenth in the Trial here at Newcastle.

This Night Of Thunder gelding won several times for Francis Graffard in France, and needed a few starts to find his feet in England. O'Meara's recruit won nicely on his first start over this sort of trip at Wolverhampton in December, and scored a course-and-distance win here at Newcastle on the final day of January.

Since then, Zryan has run well twice over a mile, finishing behind Dosman at Southwell and sixth behind that rival and First Principle at Wolverhampton. Stepping back up in trip is a big plus for Hollie Doyle's mount, and Zryan remains open to further progress over this mile-and-a-quarter trip.
