Canterbury Bulldogs vs Brisbane Broncos NRL Betting Tips - Dogs to sign off with a win in Round 27

The final game of the season sees the Canterbury Bulldogs favored against the Brisbane Broncos, with both teams missing out on the finals. Recent form and defensive struggles suggest Brisbane are vulnerable, having conceded over 30 points in six straight matches. The Bulldogs, though inconsistent, have shown enough attacking prowess, averaging nearly 23 points per game recently and defeating tough opponents. Recommended bets are for Canterbury to cover a 10.5-point line, surpass 30.5 team points, and Matt Burton to score a try.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs Brisbane Broncos Verdict

It's a dead rubber between two sides missing out on the finals. I'm backing Canterbury to end the season on a high in front of their supporters by covering the double digit line that has been set.

  • Brisbane have lost five of their last six matches.
  • Those five defeats have come by an average margin of more than 20 points.
  • Brisbane have conceded 30+ points in six consecutive games.
  • The Broncos are allowing 37.2 points per game across their last five.
  • Matt Burton has scored six tries in his last eight appearances.

Head to Head

Brisbane have dominated the recent history between these clubs, winning eight of the last nine meetings and beating Canterbury 32-12 earlier this season.

The Bulldogs' lone victory in that run came in 2024 when they produced an impressive 41-16 win in Brisbane..

Canterbury Bulldogs Form

Canterbury couldn't keep their finals hopes alive against Penrith last week, but their 24-10 defeat was much more competitive than the final margin suggests.

The Bulldogs defended repeated sets close to their own line and remained within striking distance deep into the second half.

Matt Burton crossed in the opening half before Jacob Preston scored after the break as Canterbury continued to threaten.

Their recent results have been inconsistent, but there have been enough attacking flashes to suggest they can put a big score on Brisbane.

Canterbury scored 44 against the Dragons and 36 against Melbourne, while averaging 22.8 points across their last five games.

Brisbane Broncos Form

Brisbane's premiership defence has become one of the major disappointments of the 2026 season.

The Broncos were beaten 46-20 by Melbourne last week, continuing an extraordinary defensive collapse.

Brisbane have now conceded 30 points or more in six consecutive matches and have conceded 40+ points six times this season.

Their last five games have produced defeats by 24, 34, eight and 26 points alongside a narrow four-point win over Canberra.

Verdict

Canterbury are backed to cover as 10.5- point favourites and score over 30.5 points. Matt Burton can get a try in the final game of the season.
