New Zealand Warriors vs Manly Sea Eagles Verdict

The Warriors are building momentum ahead of the finals and can make it six wins in a row. New Zealand should be up to covering a -10.5 line and scoring 31+ points at home against the Sea Eagles.

Warriors have won their last five games
Warriors have covered a -10.5 line in all five of those wins
Warriors have scored 40+ points in four of those five wins
Manly haven't won in Auckland since 2017
Manly have lost six of their last eight matches
Manly leaked 38+ points to the Titans, Sharks & Storm during that period, also losing 0-22 vs Phins
Jacob Laban has scored five tries in his last five games
Tom Trbojevic has scored eight tries in 13 appearances this season & has 1+ try in two of his last three games vs Warriors

Warriors vs Sea Eagles Head To Head

These two teams split their 2025 meetings at one win apiece. Recent encounters have been close, with Manly winning by one point last year and a 22-22 draw playing out in 2024.

New Zealand Warriors Form

Spectacular season from the Warriors and they are in the box seat for the minor premiership after 17 wins from 23 games.

Andrew Webster simply needs to be awarded the Coach of the Year now - what he's done with this Warriors side has been remarkable, made even more impressive by the constant injuries to their halves, with the team being forced into various playmaking combinations throughout the year.

The Warriors bring a five-game winning streak into this clash, most recently rolling over the Knights by a 46-32 score at Go Media last week.

The Warriors recovered from an early 0-16 deficit, with Wayde Egan producing another sublime display, while Jacob Laban crossed for a double in the second-row.

Manly Sea Eagles Form

Bit of a wild year for Manly - they started horrendously, Fozball got them back on track, but they fell away again before registering back-to-back wins coming into Round 27.

Unfortunately for Manly, those wins came too late, with the Sea Eagles out of contention for the finals after six defeats on the bounce before those victories over the Knights and Dragons.

Tom Trbojevic may have been able to help Manly win a couple of those games, but he was sidelined through injury yet again. The star fullback has returned over the last fortnight, instantly fuelling Manly's attack in 44-24 and 44-10 victories over the Knights and Dragons.

Warriors vs Sea Eagles Team News

Egan and Kurt Capewell have been rested for the Warriors, with Sam Healey and Eddie Ieremia-Toeava coming into the starting side.

Te Maire Martin and Chanel Harris-Tavita are back in the halves, while Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad returns at fullback, pushing Taine Tuaupiki to the bench.

No changes for Manly, with Kieran Foran naming the same 19 players that beat the Dragons

Verdict

New Zealand Warriors v Manly Sea Eagles

The Warriors are backed for another big win over Manly, with Laban and Turbo the anytime tryscorer picks.
