The Bulldogs are in top form and I don't see the Raiders troubling them at Accor Stadium. Back Canterbury to cover the line and for the hosts to keep the Raiders under 20.5 points.

Their victories have come by 4, 12 and 4 points, including a gritty 14-10 win in Canberra earlier this season, with the Bulldogs' defence consistently frustrating the Raiders' attack.

The Bulldogs have won four of their last five games to reignite their finals push, conceding only 15.6 points per game during that stretch. 

While they aren't posting huge attacking totals, they've rediscovered the defensive resilience that underpins Cameron Ciraldo's system, holding opponents to exactly 12 points in each of their past three victories.

A major reason for the turnaround has been Stephen Crichton's switch to five-eighth, allowing Matt Burton to shift into the centres where his running game has become a genuine weapon. 

Lachlan Galvin has also continued to develop alongside his captain, giving Canterbury a more balanced attack to complement one of the league's better defensive units.

Canberra Raiders Form - Losing Streak Ends


Canberra broke a three-game losing streak with a 24-16 victory over the Dragons before the bye, but their attacking inconsistency remains a concern. 

The Raiders have averaged only 16.4 points across their last five games and have struggled to generate sustained pressure against stronger defensive teams.

There are positives for Ricky Stuart with Josh Papalii and Noah Martin returning to strengthen the forward pack, while Simi Sasagi has provided a spark since returning from injury. 

However, the Raiders continue to rely heavily on moments of individual brilliance rather than sustained attacking football, and they'll need a significant improvement against a Bulldogs side that has defended exceptionally well over the past month.

Canterbury are backed to make it four wins in a row versus Canberra and cover the 3.5 points as the favourite, holding the Raiders under 20.5 points. Matt Burton will cross for the Bulldogs.
