Carlos Alcaraz is tipped to win the 2026 Paris Masters, a title missing from his collection, after returning to form in Vienna. The tournament, held at Paris La Défense Arena from 2–8 November, is the final ATP Masters 1000 event before the ATP Finals. Alexander Zverev, the 2024 champion, and Novak Djokovic, a seven-time winner with ATP Finals qualification at stake, are seen as Alcaraz’s main rivals. Daniil Medvedev, the 2020 champion, also arrives in strong indoor form. Alcaraz’s resurgence and bookmaker support make him the standout pick.

The Race to Turin comes down to one final Masters 1000. The 2026 Rolex Paris Masters runs at the Paris La Défense Arena from November 2 to 8, and with four places at the ATP Finals still up for grabs, the last big event of the regular season will go a long way to deciding who joins Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton and Daniil Medvedev in Turin.

Flavio Cobolli, Arthur Fils, Frances Tiafoe and Rafael Jodar arrive in Paris holding the remaining places. Alex de Minaur, Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz are close enough to strike. With Jannik Sinner ruled out for the season, ninth place in the Race is enough to qualify, which gives the chasing pack an extra lifeline.

Paris offers 1,000 ranking points to the champion, more than enough to turn the Race upside down. Zverev, the 2024 winner, is the top seed, ahead of Alcaraz, Shelton and Medvedev, while Cobolli’s fitness is a concern after he retired injured in Vienna.

Tournament Overview

The Paris Masters is the ninth and final ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, and traditionally the last stop before the ATP Finals. For decades it was known simply as “Bercy” after its home at the Accor Arena. In 2025 it moved to the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, west of the city, so 2026 is only its second year at the new venue.

Novak Djokovic has dominated the event’s history, with a record seven titles, and he’s the only player to have successfully defended the trophy, winning three in a row from 2013 to 2015. The draw has 56 players, and the top eight seeds receive first-round byes. The final is on Sunday, November 8.

Ranking Points & Prize Money

The Paris champion collects €974,370 and 1,000 ranking points, which makes this the richest event of the indoor season. The runner-up earns €532,120 and 650 points, while a semi-final run is worth 400. Those points could rewrite the Race to Turin.

Alex de Minaur starts the week around 130 points behind ninth-placed Rafael Jodar, and Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz trail him by roughly 300. A quarter-final (200 points) or a semi-final (400) in Paris is enough to change the picture completely.

Playing Conditions & Court Speed

Paris was once one of the fastest courts in the world. It slowed down after 2011, along with most of the tour, but the event’s move to the Paris La Défense Arena in 2025 gave it a fresh setting, and big hitters dominated last year.
Jannik Sinner won without dropping a set in the final, and Alexander Zverev’s 2024 title came with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ugo Humbert.

With fatigue building at the end of a long season, fitness matters as much as form. For bettors, players arriving fresh and serving well deserve the edge, while those coming off deep runs in Basel or Vienna may be vulnerable early.

Recent Champions

This year’s draw is full of former Paris champions. Novak Djokovic, the record seven-time winner, won the most recent of his titles in 2023. He’s joined by Alexander Zverev (2024), Holger Rune (2022), Daniil Medvedev (2020) and Karen Khachanov (2018). Former finalists Ugo Humbert (2024) and Denis Shapovalov (2019) are also in the field.

Top 8 Seeds

The top eight seeds all have first-round byes, but the draw has set up several Race to Turin showdowns. Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur are in the same section and could meet in the third round. Flavio Cobolli could face Rafael Jodar, and Arthur Fils could run into Taylor Fritz. In each case, both players are fighting for a place in Turin.

Players to Watch

Alexander Zverev
The top seed won here in 2024 and arrives off a run to the Vienna semi-finals. He has already qualified for Turin, so there’s no Race pressure on him, but a second-round meeting with Lorenzo Musetti or Hubert Hurkacz is a tough way to start.

Carlos Alcaraz
Alcaraz has never won the Paris Masters, which stands out on a CV like his. He found form again in Vienna by reaching the semi-finals, and his opener against Alex Michelsen or Jiri Lehecka will test whether he can keep it going at the end of a long season.

Daniil Medvedev
Medvedev has secured his place in Turin and arrives full of confidence after defending his Almaty title and reaching the Vienna semi-finals. The 2020 champion is at his best indoors, though back-to-back deep runs could leave him short of energy.

Arthur Fils
The home favourite has won the Cincinnati Masters and Barcelona this year, and he’ll have the French crowd firmly behind him. He sits seventh in the Race, so a deep run would secure his first trip to Turin, but a possible clash with Taylor Fritz looms in his section.

Novak Djokovic
The seven-time champion needs a big week. He lost early in Basel to Jan-Lennard Struff and sits roughly 300 points behind ninth place in the Race. A potential third-round meeting with Alex de Minaur is effectively a Turin play-off.

Verdict

Carlos Alcaraz is our pick to finally conquer Paris, a title missing from his collection. He’s the bookmakers’ favourite after finding his form again in Vienna.

Alexander Zverev, the 2024 champion, is the obvious threat from the top half. Novak Djokovic has won here seven times and has Turin to play for, which makes him dangerous at a double-figure price, while 2020 champion Daniil Medvedev arrives in excellent indoor form, following his Almaty title with a run to the Vienna semi-finals.
