Novak Djokovic aims to extend his perfect record at the ATP Beijing 2026 final against Alex de Minaur. Djokovic boasts a 33-0 China Open record and impressive recent form, losing only one of his last 40 matches. De Minaur, although in solid form, struggles against top players, with a below-par head-to-head vs Djokovic. Predictions favor Djokovic to win in three sets. Djokovic Chasing Seventh Title in Beijing
Novak Djokovic is still getting it done on the ATP Tour despite turning 39 in May. He recently dropped out of the Top 10 for the first time since 2018.
The Serbian lost the position after suffering a shock first round loss to Mariano Navone at the US Open.
Djokovic has never lost in Beijing and he is proving why this week, beating Nuno Borges 6-3 7-6 and Bu Yunchaokete 4-6 7-6 6-2. He came back to beat Alexander Zverev 4-6 6-4 6-4 in the quarter-finals.
The veteran was 7-5 5-3 against Daniil Medvedev and serving for the match when Medvedev was disqualified for hitting a ball at a spectator.
De Minaur Holding Onto Top 10 Spot
Alex de Minaur has been entrenched in the Top 10 player for over a year. He won the Rotterdam Open and lost the final in s’Hertogenbosch but hasn’t reached another semi-final until now.
The Australian struggled on the North American hard court swing, ending with a straight sets defeat to Botic van de Zandschulp in the US Open second round.
The 27-year-old produced a strong performance at the Laver Cup, coming back to beat Alexander Zverev 2-6 7-6 (11-9).
De Minaur has saved 24/32 break points in Beijing, beating Mariano Navone 7-6 6-2 and Quentin Halys 3-6 7-6 7-5. He overcame Andrey Rublev 1-6 6-2 6-3 in the quarter-finals and was leading 6-4 3-2 when Hubert Hurkacz retired.
