Sabalenka Targets Sixth Consecutive US Open Semifinal

Noskova Makes US Open Breakthrough With Kostyuk Win
Linda Noskova secured her place in the quarterfinals after defeating Marta Kostyuk in a tight three-set battle, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4. She led by a set and a break and had two opportunities to close out the match in straight sets, but was forced to play a decider before eventually winning it.
This is Noskova's best result at the US Open. She had previously won only four matches across four appearances here and notably reached the third round last year.
With this run, she has become the youngest Czech player to reach the US Open quarterfinals since Daja Bedanova in 2001.
The Czech has played five quarterfinals on tour this year and won three of them, including her biggest title at Wimbledon, where she lifted her maiden Grand Slam trophy. That success helped her break into the Top 10 recently.
