Although Singapore is expected to be hot and humid, with temperatures around 29–31°C during tournament week and rain possible on several days, the matches will be played indoors at OCBC Arena. This means rain and outdoor humidity should have little direct impact on match conditions. The controlled indoor environment should provide more consistent playing conditions throughout the week, with the hard court and indoor setting likely to be more important factors than the weather.

Players to Watch
Elise Mertens
The defending champion arrives in Singapore in strong form, having reached the Monterrey final before making the third round of the US Open. She will be looking to defend her title and has plenty of recent experience on her side.
Mirra Andreeva
The highest-ranked player in the draw and the No. 1 seed, Andreeva comes into Singapore after reaching her first US Open quarterfinal. The 19-year-old will be one of the main names to watch on the indoor hard courts.
Alexandra Eala
Eala has continued to make significant progress this season and arrives with plenty of momentum despite a narrow third-round loss at the US Open. Playing in Asia should also provide a familiar environment and strong support for the Philippines star.
Amanda Anisimova
Anisimova's recent results have been less consistent, but her ability to compete with the best in this field is well established. If she finds her rhythm in Singapore, her power and aggressive game can make her a dangerous player throughout the week.

Verdict
Elise Mertens and Mirra Andreeva are our two picks for the Singapore Open title, with Mertens' defending-champion status and recent form making her particularly interesting. Alexandra Eala is the player to consider at bigger odds for a deep run, with her rise this season and the Asian setting adding to her appeal.
