The 25-year-old beat Jakub Mensik and Alex de Minaur on his way to the semi-finals where he went down in 3 sets to Taylor Fritz.
The American maintained that form in Montreal, beating Luciano Darderi and Rafael Jodar on his way to the final. He went close against Ben Shelton, going down 6-3 7-6.

Medvedev Hanging Onto Top 10 Spot
