Cameron Norrie has reached one quarter-final this year, in Indian Wells where he lost 6-3 6-4 to Carlos Alcaraz.

The 30-year-old began the clay court swing in Monte Carlo where he snuck past Miomir Kecmanovic in 3 sets. He met Alex de Minaur in the second round and went down 7-6 2-6 6-2.

The Brit was involved in another long match in Barcelona. He beat 41-year-old Stan Wawrinka 6-4 6-7 6-4 in over two and a half hours, saving 5/7 break points.

Ethan Quinn won the Phoenix Challenger in March and took that form to Miami. He beat Hubert Hurkacz and Casper Ruud before a narrow 6-3 7-6 third round exit to Jiri Lehecka.

The American got into the Monte Carlo main draw as a lucky loser. He didn't last long, thrashed 6-1 6-4 by Terence Atmane in the first round but enough to become a Top 50 player for the first time.

The 22-year-old saved two match points in his opening qualifier in Barcelona, overcoming Nikoloz Basilashvili 2-6 7-6 6-4. He hasn’t given up a break point since.

Quinn hammered Daniel Merida Aguilar 6-3 6-1 to reach the first round where he beat Reilly Opelka 7-5 7-6.

Verdict

Ethan Quinn became a Top 50 player last week and didn’t allow a break point in his previous two matches. Cameron Norrie hasn’t been doing it easy on clay, the Brit to be taken all the way in Barcelona.
