Daria Snigur defeated Tereza Valentova in straight sets to reach the final in Prague, 7-6, 6-3. She trailed by a break twice in the opening set before producing a superb comeback to claim it in the tiebreak, which proved crucial to her victory.
This is the first WTA Tour final of her career. She previously reached her only tour-level semifinal earlier this year in Cluj-Napoca, where she lost to Sorana Cirstea in straight sets.
Before 2026, Snigur had recorded multiple tour-level main-draw wins only once. Lilli Tagger Stuns Krejcikova to Reach Prague Final
Lilli Tagger produced a stunning upset over Barbora Krejcikova to reach the final in Prague, 6-7, 6-3, 7-6. She squandered a 5-3 lead in the opening set before raising her level to win the next two sets and complete a memorable comeback.
With this victory, Tagger became the youngest player to reach the Prague final, surpassing Linda Noskova, who achieved the feat in 2023.
