With PSG just one point away from clinching another Ligue 1 title, their match against Lens promises high stakes. Lens boasts the league’s best home record but cannot overturn PSG’s goal difference. Recent form suggests a tightly contested clash, with both teams likely content with a draw. Predicted lineups show both squads are bolstered by returns and motivated to secure a positive result. Ultimately, experts recommend backing the 1-1 scoreline, as it would mathematically secure the title for PSG while rewarding Lens for a stellar home campaign.

PSG lead Lens 47-24 alongside 23 draws. The Parisians have won six of the previous seven encounters but only two of their last six in Lens.

Home Comfort for Lens

Lens have been in incredible home form this season, winning 16 of their 17 matches at Stade Felix Bollaert-Delelis. The only blip was an unlucky 3-2 defeat to Monaco.

The northern club have been in the Ligue 1 title race but two recent draws on the road severely hurt their chances.  They had 2.76-0.25 xG in a 3-3 draw at Brest and conceded late in a 1-1 draw at Nice.

Pierre Sage’s side bounced back to beat Nantes 1-0 thanks to Mezian Soares’ 79th minute strike. It was a massive goal for the 16-year-old in his first senior appearance.

PSG Poised to Win Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain are riding high after reaching the Champions League final. They beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in the semi-final first leg and earned a 1-1 draw in Germany to go through.

Luis Enrique made wholesale changes in a 1-0 win against Brest. Désiré Doué came off the bench to score a late winner as they ended with 23-3 shots and 1.49-0.17 xG.

The Parisians maintained their six point lead in Ligue 1 and will surely claim a fifth successive title.

Enrique was practically celebrating after the victory, saying: “We are champions! I can say it, can't I? It's 99.9% sure. And I think we deserve it.”

“We still have 2 matches to play, but we have a big advantage with the goal difference. Mathematically we still need one more point, but I think we are champions.”

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Lens (3-4-3) Robin Risser; Ismaëlo Ganiou, Samson Baidoo, Malang Sarr; Abdallah Sima, Andrija Bulatovic, Adrien Thomasson, Matthieu Udol; Mamadou Sangaré, Odsonne Édouard, Wesley Said

Jonathan Gradit and Allan Saint-Maximin are injured with Florian Thauvin doubtful.

Saud Abdulhamid completes his suspension but Adrien Thomasson and Mamadou Sangaré are back after bans.

PSG (4-3-3) Matvey Safonov; Senny Mayulu, Marquinhos, Illia Zabarnyi, Lucas Hernández; João Neves, Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz; Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Lucas Chevalier and Quentin Ndjantou remain out with injuries. Defenders Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho and Achraf Hakimi are all missing and Warren Zaire-Emery is dealing with a back injury.

Luis Enrique could go back to full strength with his side poised to win the title.

Verdict

PSG are a point away from mathematically claiming the Ligue 1 title. Lens know they can’t turn around an inferior goal difference, a draw suitable for both clubs here.
