GKS Katowice vs Hapoel Tel Aviv Predictions & Tips - BTTS Tipped in Conference League Qualifier

GKS Katowice return home trailing Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-0 from the Conference League third qualifying round's first leg. With both teams displaying strong attacking records—especially in recent matches—another open, high-scoring contest is likely. Katowice need at least two goals to stay alive, and Hapoel's vulnerability to conceding away means BTTS and over 2.5 goals is a solid prediction. Expect changes in the Polish lineup but Hapoel are favored to progress to the play-offs unless there's a strong comeback.

GKS Katowice vs Hapoel Tel Aviv Predictions

GKS Katowice host Hapoel Tel Aviv after suffering a 2-0 defeat in last week’s Conference League third qualifying-round first leg.

Hapoel look well placed to secure their spot in the play-offs, but the visitors have struggled to keep clean sheets on the road.

As such, I have my stake on BTTS, while I also expect three or more goals at Stadion Katowice.

Goals Likely in Poland

  • GKS Katowice have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 matches
  • GKS Katowice have seen BTTS & over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 7 matches
  • GKS Katowice scored an average of 1.33 goals per game in their last 5 matches
  • Hapoel Tel Aviv have seen BTTS in their last 4 away matches (competitive matches)
  • Hapoel Tel Aviv scored 2 goals in their last 4 matches

Hapoel Claim Victory in First-Ever Encounter

Katowice and Hapoel Tel Aviv will meet for the second time on Wednesday. Hapoel secured a 2-0 victory in last week’s first leg in neutral Hungary.

Katowice Face Up-Hill Battle

GKS Katowice return to Arena Katowice after a disappointing 2-0 first-leg defeat against Hapoel last week.

The Poles did well to prevent a bigger defeat after conceding twice in the opening 18 minutes.

Rafal Gorak’s side now need to score at least twice to have any chance of extending their first European campaign since 2003. Katowice secured their continental return by finishing fifth in the Ekstraklasa last season.

GKS reached the Conference League third qualifying round with a dramatic 4-3 aggregate victory against Zilina in July. After a 2-1 first-leg reversal in Slovakia, Katowice responded with a superb 3-1 second-leg win in Poland.

The hosts also secured a 3-1 win in their most recent home fixture against Radomiak in the Ekstraklasa.

High-scoring outcomes have been frequent, with an average of 3.2 goals per game scored in five competitive matches this season.

Hapoel Extend Unbeaten Run

Hapoel Tel Aviv arrive in Poland with a two-goal advantage after producing a dominant first-leg performance. Early goals from Stav Torial and Roee Alkokin secured a deserved victory for the Israelis.

Elyaniv Barda’s side should have added to their advantage in Hungary with several opportunities passed up in the second half.

A strong start to the season has seen Hapoel remain unbeaten in four competitive fixtures. They had finished the 25/26 campaign in poor form, winning just one of their last eight games of the season.

The Israeli club reached the Conference League third qualifying round after claiming a 2-0 first-leg victory against Ludogorets before securing a surprise 4-2 aggregate success with a 2-2 draw in Bulgaria.

Hapoel are competing in European competition for the first time since 2014.

The Red Demons finished fourth in the Israeli Premier League last season, securing continental qualification in their first campaign back in the top flight following relegation in 2024.

GKS Katowice vs Hapoel Tel Aviv Team News

GKS Katowice: (3-4-3) Gabriel Kobylak; Lukas Klemenz, Arkadiusz Jedrych, Pau Resta; Erik Jirka, Kacper Lukasiak, Bartosz Wolski, Borja Galan; Eman Markovic, Adam Zrelak, Bartosz Nowak.

Gorak could make changes after his side struggled to create clear opportunities during the first leg.

Adam Zrelak and Eman Markovic are among those likely to come into contention for the Poles.

Hapoel Tel Aviv: (4-2-3-1) Assaf Tzur; Marcus Coco, Fernand Mayembo, Chico, Doron Leidner; Falcao, Andrian Kraev; Stav Torial, Omri Altman, Roee Alkokin; Emmanuel Boateng.

Barda could retain the majority of the team that secured last week’s two-goal victory in Hungary.

Emmanuel Boateng should continue in attack, with Omri Altman and Xande Silva expected to provide attacking support.

Verdict

GKS must adopt an attacking approach as they attempt to overturn a two-goal deficit at Arena Katowice.

Both teams have been in goalscoring form, and that pattern should continue on Wednesday.

BTTS is my first choice, while I also have a stake on BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored.
