Weekend Football Predictions - Betting Tips for 19th & 20th September 2026
Derby weekend has arrived across Europe. The Old Firm in Glasgow, the Madrid Derby and Le Classique in France headline another packed weekend, while Barcelona's incredible scoring run and Borussia Dortmund's difficult trip to Stuttgart give us plenty more to work with.

Here are our weekend football predictions.
Rangers v Celtic - Another Tight Old Firm?
Rangers and Celtic meet again just over a week after Rangers ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Ibrox.
Current form certainly points towards Rangers. They've won seven of their last eight, while Celtic enter the derby following back-to-back defeats. The longer-term head-to-head is much tighter, though, with 12 wins apiece and seven draws across their last 31 meetings.
Rangers haven't exactly been scoring freely either, so another close Old Firm contest wouldn't be a surprise. Ryan likes Both Teams to Score, while Jeremy is backing the draw, with 1-1 a scoreline that works nicely for both.

Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid - Goals in the Madrid Derby
Atletico Madrid have been difficult to break down this season, but goals haven't been flowing quite so easily at the other end.
Real Madrid have almost had the opposite problem. They're scoring plenty but have also looked vulnerable defensively, including conceding twice late in their most recent game. Derbies can make recent form difficult to trust, but there is enough attacking quality here to expect chances at both ends.
Jeremy is also backing José Mourinho's Real Madrid to find a way through another major game, even if it requires some late drama.
Pick: Over 2.5 Goals
Barcelona v Sevilla - Can Anyone Slow Barca Down?
Barcelona's start to the season has been ridiculous. They've won all seven games, scored 33 goals and have hit at least four in each of their last five matches.
Sevilla could provide their toughest defensive test so far. They've conceded only twice across their last four games and should offer considerably more resistance than some of Barcelona's recent opponents.
Ryan expects both sides to score in a tighter contest, potentially 1-1 or 2-1.
Jeremy isn't convinced Sevilla will find the net and is leaning towards something closer to a 1-0 or 2-0 Barcelona victory. The scoreline is up for debate. Barcelona winning isn't.

Marseille v PSG - Can PSG Finally Click?
PSG haven't started their Ligue 1 campaign as expected, with one win, two draws and a defeat from their opening four matches.
Marseille haven't exactly been flying either, leaving two of France's biggest clubs entering Le Classique with questions to answer.
PSG have already shown how dangerous they can be when everything clicks, but their domestic form makes them difficult to back heavily until they produce it consistently.
Jeremy is staying away from the main betting markets, although he expects PSG to come out on top in a 3-1 victory. Ryan has something considerably more ambitious waiting in Longshot Corner.

Stuttgart v Borussia Dortmund - A Dortmund Bogey Team
Dortmund have won five consecutive matches since losing the Super Cup final to Bayern Munich and can't afford many early mistakes if they're going to remain in the title race.
Stuttgart, however, have caused them serious problems. Dortmund have won only one of their last eight meetings with Stuttgart, while Stuttgart have won five of those eight.
Stuttgart's defence was exposed badly by Bayern, but their home form and excellent recent record in this matchup make blindly backing Dortmund difficult. It has all the ingredients for another potential stumbling block.

Longshot Corner - Derby Goals and Stuttgart Upset
Longshot Corner starts in Paris this weekend.
Ryan is looking at PSG's attacking ceiling and likes both PSG 5-0 Marseille and PSG 5-1 Marseille, with each correct score available at around 29.00 when discussed on the show.
The Madrid Derby provides another correct-score angle. A 3-2 Real Madrid victory combines the expectation of goals with Jeremy's confidence in Mourinho getting the big game right.
There's also a four-leg combination featuring Jonathan David to score, Kylian Mbappe to score, Over 3.5 Goals and Real Madrid to Win, priced at around 10.50.
Finally, that Dortmund head-to-head record is enough to tempt us towards a Stuttgart upset.
Stuttgart to beat Dortmund 2-1 was available at approximately 10.00.
