Collignon on Target for Top 50

Raphael Collignon broke into the Top 100 in February and picked up some notable wins at the tail end of the season. He beat Casper Ruud at the US Open and Alex De Minaur at the Davis Cup.

The Belgian’s best performance on the ATP Tour came in Brussels. He defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina before a 7-6 6-4 semi-final defeat to Felix Auger Aliassime.

The 23-year-old didn’t drop a set in the qualifiers in Brisbane, easing past Alexander Shevchenko and Ethan Quinn. He kept it going in the first round, beating Denis Shapovalov 6-4 6-2 without allowing a break point.

Dimitrov Injury Concerns

Grigor Dimitrov started 2025 in the Top 10 but constant injuries and retirements saw him drop out of the Top 20 in June.

The Bulgarian took a month off before returning to action at Wimbledon where he reached the fourth round. Injury struck at the worst time, leading Jannik Sinner 6-3 7-5 2-2 when he was forced to retire for a fifth time.

The 34-year-old played one more event, in Paris where he withdrew due to a shoulder injury.

Dimitrov appears to have benefitted from two months off, returning to action in Brisbane where he is a two-time champion. He beat Pablo Carreno Busta 6-3 6-2 in the first round, saving one break point.
