Atmane Earns First Tour-Level Grass-Court Win

Russian Extends Strong Grass-Court Record
Daniil Medvedev moved into the second round in Halle after defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. He saved seven of the eight break points he faced and converted three of the seven opportunities he created.
The Russian has enjoyed plenty of success at this stage of the tournament. He has reached at least the quarterfinals in three of his last four appearances in Halle, with his only defeat before that stage coming against Zhizhen Zhang in 2024.
