Al Hilal have made a thrilling start to the season, netting 14 goals in just four games and showcasing their attacking prowess. Their next opponents, Al Ahli, are equally formidable in attack with Ivan Toney at the helm. With both teams favoring offensive play, this match is expected to be open and packed with goals. Fans should brace for an entertaining, high-scoring encounter.

Attacking potential of these two sides is exceptional, so backing anything instead of goals on Tuesday would be a mistake.

Key Stats

  • Al Hilal have scored 14 goals in their last 4 matches.
  • Al Hilal have seen over 3.5 goals in 5 of their last 7 home matches.
  • Al Hilal have seen BTTS & over 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 6 matches against Al Ahli.
  • Al Ahli have seen BTTS & over 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 away matches.

52-Year-Old Rivalry

Al Hilal had more success in head to head clashes against Al Ahli so far, holding a 48-32 advantage in terms of victories.

Hosts Having an Amazing Start

Simone Inzaghi's side started the new season in the best way possible, winning all four games across competitions.

Their efficiency has been sensational, claiming three league victories against Al Faysaly 4-2, Al Fayha 3-0 and most recently Al Khaleej 5-1. Sergej Milinkovic-Savid, Ruben Neves and Sultan Madash scored two goals each in these encounters.

Al Hilal were also victorious in their King Cup clash, beating Al Raed 2-0 on the road in mid-August, Neves scoring a brace. They had 2.35-0.20 xG, 73% possession and 7-0 shots on target here.

Al Ahli Slipped Last Weekend

Al Ahli couldn't parry Al Nassr and Al Hilal in the Pro League title race last season, finishing third. They appointed new head manager Marino Pusic earlier this month but things are not looking great in the early weeks.

They claimed three domestic victories against Al Diriyah 1-0 and Abna 4-0 in the Pro League, and 2-1 against Al Anwar in the King Cup, then carried over good form to FIFA Intercontinental Cup, beating Auckland 1-0.

Al Ahli were tagged favorites in last weekend's clash against Al Kholood but suffered a shocking 3-1 loss despite having 2.28-1.15 expected goals, 69% possession and 16-4 shots. Artem Bondarenko and Ivan Toney missed big chances to score here.

Team News & Predicted Lineups

Al Hilal (4-3-3) Yassine Bounou; Hamad Al-Yami, Ali Lajami, Kalidou Koulibaly, Theo Hernandez; Sergej Milinković-Savic, Ruben Neves, Nasser Al-Dawsari; Crysencio Summerville, Ollie Watkins, Sultan Mandash

Right back Hamad Al Yami was doubtful but passed latest fitness tests. Winger Salem Al-Dawsari is out, recovering from knee surgery.

Al Ahli (4-2-3-1) Abdulrahman Al Sanbi; Ali Majrashi, Merih Demiral, Roger Ibanez, Saad Balobaid; Artem Bondarenko, Valentin Atangana; Francisco Trincao, Eduard Spertsyan, Galeno; Ivan Toney

First-option goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is out with a ligament injury, while striker Abdullah Radif is doubtful.

Verdict

Al Hilal have been scoring for fun in the new season, bagging 14 goals in four games, while Al Ahli are also a dangerous side with Ivan Toney leading the attack. I am predicting an open clash with plenty of goals.
