Arsenal Conquer San Siro - Gunners Set Sights on European Glory

Arsenal made a thunderous statement in the UEFA Champions League last night, dismantling Inter Milan 3-1 at the San Siro to maintain a flawless record in the competition.

As Mikel Arteta’s side balances a historic European run with a commanding lead in the Premier League, the North London outfit have become the team to beat.

European Perfection - Seven from Seven

Arsenal’s victory in Italy was a record-breaking performance. The Gunners have now won seven consecutive matches in the Champions League league phase, a feat never achieved in the club’s history.

The night belonged to Gabriel Jesus who reminded the world of his pedigree with a clinical brace. He opened the scoring in the 10th minute before heading home a second just after the half-hour mark.

The victory was confirmed in the 84th minute by substitute Viktor Gyökeres, whose thunderous strike from distance secured all three points.

Mikel Arteta told Arsenal.com post-match: "I'm very happy, super proud of the players... We talked about doing something special tonight, and it was going to require a very, very complete performance to have the opportunity to win, and collectively, I think we understood the game really well.

"We had the right emotional control, the right aggression, and then individually I think we were super good, and we had some big, big individual performances. The level of courage we had to show, the conviction. If you really want to help this team, it has to be there."

With 21 points from a possible 21, Arsenal have officially secured their place in the Round of 16 with a game to spare, effectively guaranteeing a top-two finish in the new league format.

Domestic Dominance - Leaders of the Pack

While the Champions League is the current focus, Arsenal’s Premier League form remains equally formidable. Despite a recent 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest, the Gunners sit comfortably at the top of the table.

Arsenal currently hold a seven-point cushion over Manchester City and a resurgent Aston Villa. With the best defensive record in the league, conceding only 14 goals, the Gunners are on target for a first EPL title since their undefeated campaign in the 2003-04.

2025/26 UEFA Champions League - Winner Betting Odds

According to the latest markets on Stake.com, Arsenal’s odds have firmed following their San Siro masterclass. They are now considered slight favorites ahead of Bayern Munich, Manchester City and defending champions PSG.

PSG entered the tournament as favorites to repeat their 2025 success, but recent setbacks have seen them slide in the betting market. Man City remain a threat but has struggled with consistency, notably losing to Bodo/Glimt this week.

Real Madrid can never be ignored, especially with Kylian Mbappé chasing scoring records, Barcelona and Liverpool the other contenders according to the bookmakers.
