Fulham vs Hull Preview

Fulham will look to tighten up at home after a late 2-1 defeat at Ipswich. Hull keep picking Premier League points through draws and the hard-to-beat Tigers can hold Fulham.

Key Stats - Tigers Draw Plenty

  • Fulham have drawn 2 of their last 3 matches.
  • Fulham are unbeaten in 4 consecutive games against Hull.
  • Hull have drawn 3 of their last 4 games.

H2H - Even Record

Hull have a 36-35 advantage against Fulham, alongside 28 draws.

Winless Fulham Need Premier League Points

Alvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham are bottom of the Premier League after taking just two points from six matches.

The Cottagers lost their first three league fixtures and gained their first point from a 0-0 stalemate at Liverpool. That result started a three-match unbeaten run, including a 3-2 cup win at West Ham and a 1-1 home draw with Man United.

The west London side couldn’t maintain their momentum and lost 2-1 away against Ipswich. Fulham had 1.81 XG, led through Ryan Sessengnon’s opener and conceded twice in the final five minutes.

Hull Are Becoming Draw Specialists

Newly promoted Hull have impressed in the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, losing just one of six games. The Tigers beat Man United 2-0 at home and sealed a late 1-0 victory at Coventry in their first two fixtures.

Hull have continued to earn points following three draws in their last four. Stalemates against Aston Villa 0-0 and Chelsea away 2-2 came before a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle.

Sergej Jakirovic’s side also played out a 2-2 home draw against Everton on Sunday. Joe Geldhart gave Hull the lead and Everton scored twice before Mohammed Belloumi equalised in the 74th minute.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Kenny Tete, David Affengruber, Calvin Bassey, Ryan Sessegnon; Shea Charles, Sander Berge; Oscar Bobb, Josh King, Alex Iwobi; Gonzalo Garcia

Midfielder Tom Cairney is unavailable due to a long-term knee issue.

Antonee Robinson is doubtful with an ankle injury. Alvaro Arbeloa explained he had “no idea” when the defender would be available.

Hull (5-4-1): Konstantinos Tzolakis; Lewie Coyle, Semi Ajayi, John Egan, Nobel Mendy, Ryan Giles; Joe Gelhardt, Matt Crooks, Regan Slater, Sorba Thomas; Ollie McBurnie

Midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath was injured ahead of the Everton game and is unlikely to feature.

Goalkeeper Jack Butland, defenders Charlie Hughes and Matt Targett and midfield pair Eliot Matazo and Darko Gyabi are also injured.

Mohamed-Ali Cho could return to the squad after a recent quadricep issue. Sergej Jakirovic was positive about the attacker’s recovery and said, “I hope he will be with us in London for the next game.”

Verdict

Fulham are likely to target much-needed points from this home game against Hull. The Tigers have held their own in the Premier League and can notch another point at Craven Cottage.
