Serbia Struggling in 2026
Serbia an awful run in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers, claiming 13 points in eight games and finishing in 3rd place in Group K behind England and Albania.
They haven’t found consistency under new national coach Veljko Paunovic who was appointed in late 2025.
Speaking of results in 2026, the Eagles kicked things off with a 3-0 loss to Spain in March, while beating Saudi Arabia 2-1 a couple of days later.
Summer friendlies were disastrous, two arguably worst performances under Paunovic, losing back to back games to Cape Verde 3-0 and Mexico 5-1.

Like their upcomign opponents, Greece also had a disastrous run in the World Cup 2026 qualifiers and missed the tournament after finishing third in Group C behind Scotland and Denmark.
Ivan Jovanovic's side played four friendlies so far this year and failed to secure a single victory. In March Hellas lost to Paraguay 1-0 and drawn against Hungary 0-0.
In June, Greece barely avoided loss against Sweden thanks to Georgios Masouras stoppage time equalizer (2-2 FT), followed by a 1-0 home loss to Italy.
