Sassuolo Struggling on the Road


Sassuolo had a positive start to the season, unbeaten in five of their opening six matches which included a 3-2 victory against Juventus.

The wheels fell off after that with only one point earned in their previous four matches. All three road games have ended in defeat, the latest a 2-0 defeat at Como.

Alberto Aquilani’s side drew 1-1 against AC Milan in their previous home game. They are yet to taste defeat in five matches in front of their own fans.

Lazio Top of the Table


Gennaro Gattuso couldn’t have asked for a better start after taking over at Lazio. The capital club have seven wins and one draw in Serie A, level with Inter at the top of the table. 

Gattuso’s side blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 against AC Milan but have won all four matches since. They won 3-0 at Juventus to enhance their title credentials.

Lazio are coming off a 2-1 win against Parma. They conceded in added time but largely had the game under control, ending with 69% possession and 1.74-0.81 xG.

Lazio have been the surprise package in Serie A, keeping pace with Inter at the top of the table. Sassuolo deserve respect at home, but the capital club are playing with confidence and make if five straight wins.
