Sydney FC Form - Sky Blue Back In Action

Patrick Kisnorbo took charge of Sydney FC toward the end of last season following some sub-par results under Ufuk Talay.

Kisnorbo instilled some steeliness and improved defence into the Sky Blues, who knocked out minor premiers Newcastle Jets on their way to the A-League Grand Final, where they were upstaged 1-0 by Auckland.

Tottenham Form - Auckland Win In The Bag

It was a nightmare EPL season for Tottenham last term, with the club only managing 10 wins from their 38 games.

Safety was only confirmed with a couple of games remaining, with Spurs finishing in 17th spot, two points ahead of West Ham.

Tottenham also featured in the Champions League courtesy of their Europa League triumph under Postecoglou from the previous season, bowing out in the R16 against Atletico Madrid.

Spurs opened their preseason with a 1-0 win over MK Dons before upstaging Auckland 2-0 at Eden Park last weekend.

Young striker Dane Scarlett was lively against Auckland, opening the scoring and registering seven total shots, while Brazilian star Richarlison doubled Spurs' advantage in the 2-0 win.

Ben Davies, Mateus Fernandes, Conor Gallagher and Mathys Tel all received some game time in that win.

Fans in Sydney will be hoping the likes of Sandro Tonali, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie, Andy Robertson, Jan Paul Van Hecke, Lucas Bergvall and Dominic Solanke get on the pitch on Wednesday night.
