South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canterbury Bulldogs Preview


The firing South Sydney attack clashes with the stubborn Canterbury defence in the Good Friday showdown. Take the Rabbitohs to win and cover a -1.5 line with the Game Total to go under 45.5 points.

South Sydney Rabbitohs Fresh Off The Bye


The Bunnies had their first bye of the season last week and sit fift on the ladder with two wins and one loss from their three games played. 

The most recent matchup was a 20-16 win over the Tigers in Gosford two weeks ago.

Souths scored two tries within the first seven minutes of play but went into the break down 14-12 with a poor completion rate and a bunch of missed tackles allowing the Tigers to creep into the game.

South Sydney were outplayed in almost every statistical measure but still managed to win the game which is not something this team has been able to do over the past two seasons with injuries affecting them heavily.

Canterbury Bulldogs Suffer First Loss


Canterbury lost their first game of the season last weekend with the Newcastle Knights getting up 24-16. 

The Dogs sit sixth on the ladder with two wins and one loss as well as their early season bye adding to their points tally.

They are the second ranked scoring defence but have struggled to put points on the board themselves and are dead last in points scored, by a margin. 

The media has started swirling around the Bulldogs leadership and lineup choices with attack having been a major problem which has stopped Canterbury from making any real noise in Finals over the past two years.

Verdict

Take Souths to win and cover as the -1.5 favourite after they opened as +1.5 underdogs. Alex Johnston has scored in every game this season, still getting good money for him to cross here.
