Medvedev Mauled in Monte Carlo


Daniil Medvedev has won two titles this year, in Brisbane and Dubai. He went close in Indian Wells, taking out Carlos Alcaraz on his way to the final where he lost 7-6 7-6 to Jannik Sinner.

The Russian couldn’t have had a worse start on clay. He lost 6-0 6-0 to Matteo Berrettini in Monte Carlo, winning 19% of his 2nd serves and saving 2/8 break points.

Marozsan Hot and Cold


Fabian Marozsan is 11-11 this year, highlighting his inconsistency. He beat Casper Ruud on his way to the Auckland semi-finals but lost his final four matches on hard courts.

The 26-year-old got to another semi in Bucharest where he lost to World No.136 Daniel Merida Aguilar. He then went out in the second round in Monte Carlo and Munich.

The Hungarian had a strong start in Madrid, saving one break point in a 7-6 7-6 victory over Ethan Quinn.
