Elena Rybakina and Karolina Muchova are set for an exhilarating final in Stuttgart. Rybakina, dominant on clay and skilled against top players, is favored due to her consistency and recent successes, including ending Mirra Andreeva's winning streak. Muchova, showing tremendous progress, eyes her first clay title. She has improved significantly in 2026, clinching a Doha title and beating two top-10 opponents this week. Rybakina's experience in high-pressure matches seems to give her the edge, but Muchova's current form adds unpredictability to this exciting encounter.

Rybakina Ends Andreeva Winning Streak

Elena Rybakina ended Mirra Andreeva’s seven-match winning streak with a 7-5, 6-1 victory to reach the Stuttgart final. She fired seven aces and won 83% of her first-serve points.

This was a strong response after her previous round, where she had to save a match point against Leylah Fernandez. She is now one win away from lifting the Stuttgart title again after her 2024 triumph.

Rybakina has shown remarkable consistency since the second half of last season, highlighted by titles and deep runs, including winning the Australian Open and reaching the final at Indian Wells and the semifinal in Miami, pushing her to a career-high ranking of No. 2.

Her five-match winning streak in tour-level finals was recently ended by Aryna Sabalenka at Indian Wells. She now holds a strong 4-1 record in tour-level clay finals heading into this match.

Muchova Eyes First Clay Title

Karolina Muchova continued her impressive run by defeating Elina Svitolina 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to reach the final in Stuttgart. She faced 11 break points and saved seven of them, proving decisive in a tight match.

This marks her third consecutive three-set victory this week. She previously came from a set down to beat Elise Mertens and then avenged her Miami semifinal loss by defeating Coco Gauff in another three-set battle.

After dealing with injury setbacks in recent years, Muchova has shown her full potential in 2026, winning 22 of her 24 matches so far, including capturing the biggest title of her career in Doha.

She enters the final with a 2-5 record in tour-level finals, though she recently ended a four-match losing streak by winning in Doha. On clay, however, she is still searching for her first title at this stage, holding a 0-3 record.
