Linda Noskova knocked out giant-killer Alexandra Eala in straight sets to secure her place in the Berlin final, 6-2, 6-4. Despite dropping serve twice, the Czech was largely in control throughout the match and never allowed Eala to build any sustained momentum.
Her route to the final has been remarkably comfortable. Noskova has won all four of her matches in straight sets and has not conceded more than six games in any of them, making her one of the most dominant players in the draw this week.
The 20-year-old has shown steady progress on grass over the last two seasons. Before 2025, she had never recorded multiple wins in a grass-court event, but she broke through with a quarterfinal in Nottingham and a semifinal in Bad Homburg last year, alongside a fourth-round run at Wimbledon.
This is Noskova's first final of the season. Earlier this year, she came close to reaching the title match at Indian Wells but fell to Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals. She also added three quarterfinal appearances to her resume during the first half of the season.
Noskova owns a disappointing 1-5 record in tour-level finals. Her lone title came in Monterrey in 2024, where she defeated Lulu Sun, and she will be hoping to improve that record when she competes for the Berlin crown.
