In the highly anticipated Delray Beach Open final, Tommy Paul faces Sebastian Korda. Historically, Korda has held a 4-2 lead over Paul, with a 2-1 advantage on hard courts, suggesting a slight edge in the upcoming match. Korda has gained significant momentum by defeating two top 20 players in the tournament. While Paul's recent form is strong, having overcome tough opponents to reach the final, the prediction leans towards a Korda victory, banking on his impressive track record and form. The match promises to be intensely competitive.

Tommy Paul Form

Tommy Paul got to the semi-finals in Adelaide before a straight sets defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the Australian Open fourth round.

The American returned home in Dallas where he lost against Miomir Kecmanovic in the second round.

The 28-year-old trailed in his opening match in Delray Beach before beating Corentin Moutet in 3 sets. He eased past Adam Walton 7-6 6-3 and eliminated top seed Taylor Fritz 6-4 6-3, saving all three break points.

Paul had to overturn another deficit in the semi-finals, a 3 sets victory over Learner Tien, saving 7/8 break points.

Sebastian Korda Form

Sebastian Korda did little of note in three tournaments in Australia. He reached the San Diego Challenger final where he went down to Zachary Svajda.

The 25-year-old showed some form in Dallas, bating Michael Zheng and Frances Tiafoe in straight sets before a narrow 6-7 6-4 7-6 quarter-final defeat to Taylor Fritz.

Korda got off to a fast start in Delray Beach, beating Mackenzie McDonald 6-4 7-5 and Alex Michelsen 6-3 7-6. He came back to get past 2nd seed Casper Ruud 4-6 6-2 6-2 in the quarter-finals, saving 3/4 break points.

The American was too good for Flavio Cobolli in the semi-finals, getting through 7-6 6-1 after winning 82% of his 2nd serves and not allowing a break point.

Verdict

Tommy Paul is a deserved finalist and Sebastian Korda has taken out two Top 20 players in Delray Beach. This should be a great match, my money on Korda getting it done.
