Belgium are aiming to maintain their solid form when they battle Tunisia in an international friendly on Saturday.

The Tunisians have looked out of sorts in their recent matches and are likely to find things difficult against the Red Devils, who are expected to earn a comfortable victory here.

Key Stats

Belgium are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions.
Belgium have won by two or more goals in seven of their last 10 matches in all competitions.
Tunisia are without a win in five of their last six matches in all competitions.
Tunisia have failed to score in their last two matches

Belgium unbeaten against the North Africans

There have been three previous matches between Belgium and Tunisia, with the Europeans unbeaten in this run. The Red Devils have won the last two fixtures, including a 5-2 victory in their last meeting during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Red Hot Belgium

Belgium are enjoying a solid build-up to the World Cup and last lost a match in March 2025. They are unbeaten in their last 10 matches, a run that includes an unblemished qualifying campaign for the Mundial.

The Red Devils are generally seen as one of the teams to watch at the World Cup as they boast a solid squad of exciting players. The task for manager Rudi Garcia will be to maintain their good form and head to North America full of confidence.

One impressive thing about Belgium’s recent showings is their one-sided victories, having won by two or more goals in seven of their last 10 matches. Among their results is a 5-2 triumph over World Cup co-hosts USA, while they also picked up a 2-0 victory over Croatia in their last friendly on Tuesday.

Tunisia Struggling for Form

In contrast to Belgium's fine showings, Tunisia are struggling to find their best form at the moment. Sabri Lamouchi’s team are winless in five of their last six matches in all competitions.

Tunisia's recent struggles include a poor showing in their last major tournament, having failed to pull their weight at the AFCON in Morocco. The Carthage Eagles only won their opening fixture in the competition and crashed in the round of 16.

One of the issues plaguing Tunisia is a lack of cutting-edge in attack, having failed to score in their last two matches. They suffered a 1-0 defeat to Austria in their previous friendly on Monday.

Team News

Belgium (4-2-3-1): Thibaut Courtois; Maxim de Cuyper, Koni de Winter, Arthur Theate, Timothy Castagne; Youri Tielemans, Amadou Onana; Jeremy Doku, Kevin de Bruyne, Alexis Saelemaekers; Romelu Lukaku.

Leandro Trossard earned some extended time away after featuring in the UEFA Champions League final and is unlikely to play on Saturday. Castagne could get a run-out as part of the changes from the manager, having been on the bench last time out.

Tunisia (4-2-3-1): Mouhib Chamakh; Ali Abdi, Omar Rekik, Montassar Talbi, Yan Valery; Ellyes Skhiri, Rani Khedira; Ismael Gharbi, Hannibal Mejbri, Elias Achouri; Firas Chaouat.

Verdict

Belgium and Tunisia are having contrasting fortunes in their World Cup build-up, with the North Africans looking out of sorts lately.

The Belgians are looking particularly confident at the moment and having picked up a number of one-sided wins lately, that trend is expected to continue here.
