Cameroon vs Gabon Betting Tips & Live Stream - Gabon backed to hold Cameroon to a draw in AFCON clash

In the upcoming AFCON matchup, Gabon is predicted to hold Cameroon to a draw. Both teams have demonstrated similar form recently, with each securing three clean sheets in their last five matches. While Cameroon has an edge with a 2-1 lead over Gabon in their recent encounters, Gabon has been a standout this year with an impressive qualifying campaign. The fixture is anticipated to end evenly, reflecting the current balanced state between the two teams' performances.

Gabon have been superb this year while Cameroon have not quite been at their best. I am backing this game to end level.

Key Stats - Similar Form

  • Cameroon have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 matches.
  • Cameroon have won 2 of their last 5 matches.
  • Gabon have won 3 of their last 5 matches.
  • Gabon have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 matches.

Narrow Lead for Cameroon

Cameroon lead 2-1 against Gabon in their last six outings. There has been three draws.

Cameroon Form

Cameroon are certainly among the most recognizable African teams on the global stage, however, their performances of late has left many perplexed. They failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup after finishing second in their group and being knocked out in the knockout round.

The Indomitable Lions finished the qualifiers earlier this year with their final four matches, winning two, losing one and drawing one. It was not enough to knock Cape Verde off top spot.

Cameroon did advance to the second knockout round with a second-place finish, however, once there, DR Congo beat Cameroon 1-0. That was also the former AFCON champions last game.

Gabon Stellar Qualifying Campaign

Gabon had had a superb 2025 and arguably were the surprise package during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Needing to top their group for automatic qualification, Gabon lost out by a single point to Ivory Coast.

Despite finishing second, Gabon won eight of their 10 World Cup qualifiers, losing just once. That impressive campaign got them into the semi-finals of the playoffs.

Unfortunately, on the night, Gabon just didn’t pitch up as Nigeria ran out 4-1 winners and end Gabon’s World Cup hopes.
