The game is likely to be an attacking affair, and expert predictions favor both teams to score (BTTS) and over 2.5 goals. Recommended bets are BTTS & Over 2.5 goals at odds of 1.83 (2 units), and Over 3.5 goals at 2.4 (1 unit). The main conclusion is to expect plenty of goals.

Brentford Know How to Score Goals

Keith Andrews’ Brentford are the third highest-scoring side in the Premier League this season. They have found the net 12 times in just six matches and have 1.78 XG per game at home.

The Bees have seen 28 goals in all competitions this season, with BTTS occurring in six fixtures.

The west Londoners drew three games in a row against Leeds and Sunderland 1-1 and Bournemouth 2-2. Brentford then secured back-to-back wins, beating Reading 2-1 away and Chelsea 3-0 at home.

Andrews’ team were high-scoring again in a 2-2 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday. The Bees allowed 2.28 XG, faced 20 shots and goals from Yehor Yarmolyuk and Kristoffer Ajer earned a point.

Liverpool Wide Open in Previous Two

Andoni Iraola’s Liverpool started the 2026/27 season in positive form and were undefeated in seven matches. The Merseyside team scored two or more goals in five of those games.

The Reds’ unbeaten run ended with a 3-0 home defeat against top of the table Man City. Liverpool had six shots on target, allowed 1.29 XG and conceded three goals in the final 35 minutes.

Iraola’s outfit responded positively and thumped LASK 6-3 away in the Champions League, attempting 3.24 XG. Bradley Barcola scored a hat-trick and Ronaldo Araujo, Jeremie Frimpong and Lewis Koumas found the net.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Brentford (4-2-3-1): Caoimhin Kelleher; Michael Kayode, Aaron Hickey, Kristoffer Ajer, Malick Diouf; Yehor Yarmolyuk, Vitaly Janelt; Jaidon Anthony, Keane Lewis-Potter, Dango Ouattara; Igor Thiago

Centre-back Nathan Collins and midfielders Mikkel Damsgaard and Josh Dasvila are sidelined due to injury.

Attacker Kevin Schade and defender Jannik Schuster are injury doubts after coming off early against Aston Villa. Keith Andrews was unsure about the extent of Schade’s shoulder issue and said, “I’m not totally sure how he is.”

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Ronald Araujo, Virgil van Dijk, Jeremy Jacquet, Milos Kerkez; Alexis Mac Allister, Trey Nyoni; Rio Ngumoha, Florian Wirtz, Bradley Barcola; Lewis Koumas

Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is suspended. Striker Hugo Ekitike and defenders Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are unavailable with long-term injuries.

Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, winger Cody Gakpo and striker Alexander Isak are injury doubts for a third consecutive match.

Andoni Iraola was cautious about confirming the trio’s availability for Brentford and said, “I think it’s still very early but the same way I said they are not available for the previous games, I leave the chance open this time, yes.”

Verdict

Brentford and Liverpool don’t keep many clean sheets in the Premier League. Another open contest is anticipated in London, with BTTS and over 2.5 goals the best bet.
