FC Bayern Munich kick off their preparations for the new season with a friendly against TSV Rottach-Egern at Lake Tegernsee. Here's everything you need to know about the livestream.

As part of their training camp at Lake Tegernsee, FC Bayern Munich are making their traditional stop at FC Rottach-Egern. This popular clash between the record champions and the Kreisklasse side is back on the calendar again this summer.

For the small club on the Tegernsee, it's the highlight of the year. Where FC Rottach-Egern used to concede more than 20 goals against FC Bayern every time, last year's meeting ended in "only" a 14-1 defeat.

On the Bayern side, the biggest superstars will still be missing after a long previous season capped off by the World Cup. If you want to see which young players head coach Vincent Kompany is planning with for the upcoming campaign, the German record champions' opening pre-season fixtures are the place to look.

The FC Bayern TV Plus subscription explained
FC Bayern TV Plus is FC Bayern Munich's in-house online TV service. Alongside pre-season friendlies, it carries every competitive fixture of the senior men's team in full length, as well as goals, highlights, post-match interviews right after the final whistle, and documentaries and behind-the-scenes reports on the club.

Rather than sell the broadcast rights to external TV networks, FC Bayern prefer to distribute a lot of this content through their own channel.

The subscription comes in three flavours: a rolling monthly plan you can cancel any time costs €4, a six-month plan comes in at €20 (which works out at €3.33 per month), and a 12-month commitment is €36 in total, or just €3 a month. If you only want to watch the summer friendlies live, the flexible monthly plan is usually all you need.

The transfer picture
The summer break means the transfer window is open. FC Bayern Munich are also weighing up a handful of reinforcements to add the depth the squad needs and mount another Champions League challenge.

Nathaniel Brown, the first summer signing, has already joined up with pre-season training. He could make his first appearance in the friendly. Ismail Saibari, on the other hand, is only in the rebuilding phase after his injury and will link up with the team later.
