Gor Mahia Still in Contention

Gor Mahia come into this clash off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Vipers in their previous fixture. They matched the Tanzanians throughout the contest but went on to concede an injury-time winner.

While it was a disappointing way to lose a match, Gor Mahia are not down and out yet. Having begun their campaign with a 5-0 victory over APR, a win on Thursday will guarantee a place in the knockout stage.

Beyond the defeat to Vipers, Gor Mahia’s overall form has been solid lately. The Kenyans are unbeaten in seven of their last nine matches in all competitions, with a 3-1 defeat to Muranga among their results.

CF GR/SIAF struggling in Tanzania

CF GR/SIAF are also coming off a defeat, falling 3-1 to APR in their previous fixture. They failed to recover after conceding three goals in the first half and could only manage a late consolation from Maarouf Abaneh.

It has been a poor tournament for CF GR/SIAF, who have now lost their two matches in Group A. They had begun their campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Vipers.

CF GR/SIAF’s struggles go beyond the Kagame Cup as they are without a win in five of their last six matches in all competitions. They have also suffered a few one-sided defeats in this run, losing by two or more goals in four of those six fixtures.
