Rennes and Marseille prepare for a high-octane Ligue 1 encounter, with both teams excelling offensively yet struggling to keep clean sheets. Rennes, unbeaten this season and spearheaded by in-form Estéban Lepaul, are favored at home, especially given Marseille's poor away record. Key stats highlight frequent goals and successful home form for Rennes. Predicted lineups suggest few changes, while Ait Boudlal's focus remains crucial. Fans can watch the action live via Stake. A home win, plenty of goals, and Lepaul to score are recommended bets.

Back to Back Wins for Rennes

Rennes are unbeaten this season, starting with a 2-2 draw against PSG. Leading 2-0 at half-time, they ended with 31% possession and conceded two late goals.

The Brittany club led 2-0 against Le Mans but were pegged back again before the visitors were reduced to 10 men. Estéban Lepaul’s 95th minute penalty sealed a dramatic 3-2 victory.

Franck Haise’s side took another 2-0 lead at Angers on Sunday. Once again Rennes lost control but close it out to win 2-1, Estéban Lepaul registering three of their five shots on target.

The striker has scored three goals in three games, adding to the 21 he scored in Ligue 1 last season.

Road Woes for Marseille

Marseille had some luck in their Ligue 1 opener, a 4-0 win against Strasbourg. It was 1-0 when the visitors went down to 10 men, Amine Gouiri scoring two goals in the victory.

Bruno Genesio’s side failed to take their chances in a 2-0 defeat at Monaco, ending with 65% possession and 1.41-1.72 xG.

Gouiri bagged another brace against Paris FC but the Phocaeans couldn’t take advantage, conceding a late penalty in a 3-2 loss at home. Their defence was sliced open, giving up 3.29 xG.

Genesio admitted that he and his team are concerned: "The supporters are worried? I understand it; there is even cause for concern for us... We committed way too many big errors tonight, collectively, first and foremost.”

"No one at the club is stupid; I already warned that difficult moments would await us.”

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Rennes (4-3-3) Brice Samba; Przemyslaw Frankowski, Charlie Cresswell, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Quentin Merlin; Sebastian Szymanski, Valentin Rongier, Mahdi Camara; Ludovic Blas, Estéban Lepaul, Issa Soumaré

Rennes rejected Fulham’s €40m offer for Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal which saw sporting director Loïc Désiré send a message to the defender: “Since Tuesday, he needs to be 100% focused on Stade Rennais.”

It remains to be seen if Ait Boudlal will come straight back into the starting side or Haise persists with Anthony Rouault.

Marseille (4-3-3) Jeffrey de Lange; Timothy Weah, CJ Egan-Riley, Nayef Aguerd, Emerson Palmieri; Himad Abdelli, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Angel Gomes; Amine Harit, Amine Gouiri, Igor Paixão

Geoffrey Kondogbia remains out with Nayef Aguerd to continue in central defence. Tochukwu Nnadi is injured.
