This will be the first ever meeting between Mogadishu City and Singida Black Stars.

Mogadishu City Looking Solid

Mogadishu City began their Kagame Cup campaign with a 0-0 draw against Simba. They adopted a defensive approach to frustrate the Tanzanian side and failed to muster a single attempt on target.

That result earned Mogadishu City a point on the table and also extended a solid run of form. The Somalian team are unbeaten in nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Mogadishu City are likely to open up from the ultra defensive set-up as they do boast quality going forward, having scored in eight of their last 10 matches. However, they could be left exposed at the back and have conceded in six of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Inconsistent Singida Black Stars

Singida Black Stars suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Jamus in their opening Group B fixture. They saw plenty of possession but were wasteful in attack and missed several scoring opportunities.

While the Tanzanian side will blame the poor finishing, the result means they have now lost their last three matches in all competitions. The good news is that they were on a four-match winning run before the dip and will be keen to get back on track.

One of the issues for Singida Black Stars is a shaky back line that has conceded in six of their last seven matches in all competitions. However, they have scored in five of those seven fixtures and will be hoping for better finishing on Tuesday.

Team News and Predicted Line-ups

Mogadishu City (4-4-2): Yussuf Yacqub; Seun Ogunribide, Mohamed Ali, Albert Onyeama, Albert Kamara; Ilyas Akram, Ibrahima Bangoura, Pentecost Obiechina, Addis Panoam; Faysal Hashi, Abdelmajid Ibrahim.

Onyeama was solid at the back for Mogadishu City in the opening fixture and should retain his place in the team. Obiechina is expected to feature in midfield while Hashi is set to line up in attack.

Singida Black Stars (4-3-3): Amas Obasogie; Ande Cirille, Kennedy Juma, Mukrim Issa, Ibrahim Imoro; Emmanuel Keyekeh, Darius Kaseke, Marcel Canadi; Serge Pokou, Lamine Jarjou, Elvis Rupia.

Nigeria’s Obasogie is expected to feature between the sticks for Singida Black Stars, with Juma in central defence. Rupia should start in attack alongside Jarjou and Pokou.

Verdict

Mogadishu City and Singida Black Stars will be keen to register their first win in the competition and will come all out on Tuesday.

With an open contest on the cards here, both teams can be backed to score.
