Sporting CP is poised to secure another victory as they face Marinhense, who are struggling in the fourth division. The Lions, pursuing their third straight Primeira Liga title, are in exceptional form with recent key wins. On the other hand, Marinhense is battling relegation and has failed to score in the last four matches. Sporting CP is expected to maintain possession dominance, with players like Salvador Blopa likely to make significant contributions. Given the mismatch in form and past records, a commanding win for Sporting is anticipated.

Sporting CP ended October with four straight wins, starting with a 2-1 victory against Marseille in the Champions League. They thrashed Alverca 5-1 in the League Cup to move into the semi-finals.

The Lions began November with a hard fought 1-1 draw at Juventus to earn a valuable point in the UCL. Maxi Araujo scored early on but they were primarily pinned back in Italy, ending with 0.21-1.53 xG.

Rui Borges’ side won 2-1 at Santa Clara in their previous Primeira Liga match. They fell behind in the 5th minute, Pedro Goncalves equalising and Morten Hjulmand scoring a dramatic winner in added time as they ended with 74% possession and 21-5 shots.

Marinhense Form

The Marinha Grande club are struggling in the Campeonato de Portugal, one win in their previous eight games leaving them in the relegation zone in Group C.

The fourth division club haven’t scored in four games and are coming off two heavy defeats on the road. They suffered a 4-0 defeat at Vitoria Sernache and lost 3-0 at Castelo Branco last time out.

Turmoil has engulfed the club in recent days with players filing a complaint with the Players' Union, accusing manager Rui Sacramento of psychological abuse. He has been suspended with Renato Sousa, the club's junior team manager, taking charge against Sporting.
