Crystal Palace Are Improving

Crystal Palace have become harder to beat recently and are undefeated in six of their last seven, winning four.

The Eagles beat Zrinjski Mostar 3-1 on aggregate in their Conference League play-off. Palace drew 1-1 away before comfortably winning 2-0 at Selhurst Park, having 2.05-0.33 XG.

Oliver Glasner’s side have won their last two home games without conceding, also beating Wolves 1-0 in the Premier League.

Palace secured a third win in four on Thursday following a 3-1 triumph at Tottenham. The Eagles had 60% possession and Ismaila Sarr and Jorgen-Strand Larsen scored.

AEK Larnaca Low Scoring in the Conference League

AEK Larnaca finished in the Conference League’s top eight to reach the knockout stages. The Cypriot side were low-scoring in the league phase, netting just seven goals, including two on the road.

The Yellow-Greens were on a four-match winning streak in domestic games. That strong form ended with losses to Apollon 1-0 and Omonia Aradippou 2-1 and a 1-1 draw with Olympiacos Nicosia.

Larnaca ended their winless run with a 3-0 home win over Chloraka. Djordje Ivanovic, Miramon and Riad Bajic got on the scoresheet.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Crystal Palace (3-4-2-1): Dean Henderson; Chris Richards, Maxence Lacroix, Jaydee Canvot; Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Wharton, Daichi Kamada, Tyrick Mitchell; Ismaila Sarr, Evann Guessand; Jorgen-Strand Larsen

Striker Jean-Philippe Mateta could return to the squad following a recent knee issue. Midfielder Cheick Doucoure and Eddie Nketiah are ruled ou with long-term injuries.

Daniel Munoz came off with a shoulder injury in the Tottenham win and is unlikely to feature here. Oliver Glasner was cautious over the defender’s recovery time and said, “It was his shoulder,” Glasner confirmed. “Right now, his arm is in a brace, we'll do further assessments.

"He says it doesn't feel so bad, but a shoulder [issue] is always tricky – hopefully not too long.”

AEK Larnaca (4-2-3-1): Zlatan Alomerovic; Godswill Ekpolo, Enric Saborit, Pere Pons, Angel Garcia; Charalampos Kyriakou, Ledes Gustavo; Miramon, Djordje Ivanovic, Marcus Rohden; Riad Bajic

Defender Valentin Roberge and winger Waldo Rubio are injury doubts.

Attackers Youssef Amyn and Yerson Chacon and midfield pair Jimmy Suarez and Giorgos Naoum are unavailable due to injury.

Verdict

Crystal Palace showed their strength against Zrinjski Mostar at Selhurst Park in the Conference League play-offs. The Eagles will want to secure a first-leg advantage at home against goal-shy AEK Larnaca and a Palace win to nil is tipped.
