West Ham vs Wolves Tips & Live Stream - Championship Goals to Flow

West Ham face Wolves in a Championship match where attacking strengths and defensive frailties are on show. West Ham have struggled for clean sheets and have seen BTTS in their last six games, while Wolves are one of the competition’s top scoring sides. The recommendation is to back ‘Both Teams To Score’ (BTTS) and ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ for this encounter. Key absences include West Ham's Soucek and several Wolves players. Expect an open, exciting contest likely to deliver plenty of goals.

West Ham vs Wolves Preview

West Ham have been leaky early in the 2026/27 campaign and Wolves are dangerous in attack. Stick with goals in this Championship clash.

Key Stats - Goals Standout

  • West Ham have seen BTTS in their last 6 games.
  • West Ham have seen over 2.5 goals in 3 consecutive matches.
  • Wolves have seen over 3.5 goals in 3 of their last 4 games.

H2H

West Ham have a 37-27 advantage against Wolves, alongside 14 draws.

West Ham Are BTTS specialists

Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham have struggled early in the 2026/27 campaign. The Hammers are winless in three Championship games and have seen BTTS in each fixture.

West Ham gave up a 2-0 lead and drew 2-2 at Burnley in their Championship opener. A 2-1 home defeat at Charlton and a 4-1 EFL Cup win against Southampton followed.

The East Londoner’s patchy run continued with a 1-1 draw at Watford on Saturday. Espirito Santo’s side allowed 1.6 XG, conceded after 19 minutes and levelled through a Watford own goal.

Wolves Looking Sharp Up Front in the Championship

Wolves have made a positive start to the Championship campaign and are second in the table. Wanderers are unbeaten in seven in all competitions, scoring 19 goals.

The Midlands outfit drew 2-2 at home against Blackburn in their first league match of the season. Three consecutive victories followed, including wins at Preston 3-1 and Sheffield Wednesday 2-0.

Cesar Peixoto’s team extended their unbeaten run with a 4-1 home triumph over Stoke. Wolves conceded first and Rodrigo Gomes, Raul Jimenez and Jordan James hit back.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

West Ham (4-4-1-1): Mads Hermansen; Kyle Walker-Peters, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Max Kilman, Oliver Scarles; Jarrod Bowen, Arne Engels, Mohamadou Kante, Manor Solomon; Joel Piroe, Taty Castellanos

Defender Konstantinos Mavropanos is likely to return following a dead leg.

Midfielder Tomas Soucek is ruled out with a long-term ankle issue.

Wolves (4-2-3-1): Jose Sa; Jackson Tchatchoua, Nasser Djiga, Toti, Hugo Bueno; Andre, Marshall Munetsi; Rodrigo Gomes, Fernando Lopez, Mateus Mane; Raul Jimenez

Defender Yerson Mosquera, winger Rafiki Said and midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde are unavailable due to injury.

Kieran Trippier is also ruled out following an MCL injury. Wolves’ head of performance Phil Hayward confirmed the defender’s injury recently and said, “It's unfortunate that he's going to be out now for a number of weeks.

“He will be in a brace for the next week and had an injection on Wednesday to try and speed up the healing process, but he's going to be out for the next few weeks as he rehabs from that.”

Verdict

West Ham struggle for clean sheets and Wolves are among the Championship’s highest scorers this season. BTTS and over 2.5 goals are the best bets at the London Stadium.
