H2H

West Brom have a 2-1 advantage against Wrexham, alongside one draw.

Wrexham Draw a Lot

Wrexham are 14th in the 2026/27 Championship table and have struggled to break into the top half. Phil Parkinson’s side are winless in seven of their nine games, drawing a league-high of five matches.

The Red Dragons were winless in three, including back-to-back draws with Swansea 0-0 and Burnley 1-1. They followed those results with a 6-0 away defeat at West Ham.

Parkinson’s team responded by defeating Southampton 2-1 at home. Wrexham had 0.54-2.08 XG and 34% possession.

Wrexham played out another 1-1 draw on Saturday at Derby. The Red Dragons were 1-0 down after nine minutes and Ollie Rathbone equalised late in the second half.

West Brom’s Fast Start Has Faded

James Morrison’s West Brom made a strong start to the new Championship campaign. The West Midlands side won four of their opening six matches.

The Baggies’ good recent form has declined following a three-match winless streak. That run began with a 1-1 home draw against QPR and a 1-0 defeat at Wolves.

West Brom fell to a second consecutive defeat after the international break and lost 1-0 against Birmingham. The Baggies allowed 2.55 XG, had just two shots on target and conceded a first-half penalty.

Predicted Starting Lineups & Team News

Wrexham (3-4-2-1): Anthony Patterson; Zak Vyner, Joe Worrall, Dominic Hyam; Issa Kabore, Ben Whiteman, Lewis O'Brien, Jacques Ekomie; Ollie Rathbone, Callum O'Hare; Kieffer Moore

Midfielders Ben Sheaf and Matty James and defender Callum Doyle and are injury doubts. Attacker Josh Windass could also miss out after coming off injured against Derby.

Defenders George Thomason, Max Cleworth, and Libby Cacace are unlikely to feature due to injury. Forward Nathan Broadhead is also sidelined with a thigh issue.

Phil Parkinson addressed Wrexham’s recent injury issues and said, “We’ve had some disruption this week, which has been a real shame.”

West Brom (4-4-2): Max O'Leary; Brayann Pereira, Nathaniel Phillips, Chris Mepham, Callum Styles; Rabby Nzingoula, Ousmane Diakite, Toby Collyer, Felix Myhre; Aune Heggebo, Jimmy-Jay Morgan

Defender Nolan Galves and winger Mikey Johnstone are ruled out. West Brom confirmed that Galves would miss the remainder of the season after “suffering a significant knee injury.”

Verdict

Wrexham have dropped a lot of points through draws in the Championship. West Brom are on a downturn and these inconsistent sides can share the points.
