HTH

AC Milan have met Benfica six times and never lost, winning four time alongside two draws.

Amorim Unbeaten in Milan

AC Milan are undefeated under Ruben Amorim, winning 2-1 win at Torino before a 2-0 victory over Venezia. The Portuguese manager persists with his 3-4-3 formation, Gonçalo Ramos the spearhead.

I Rossoneri are coming off two tough road trips, the first at Juventus where they had 0.11-1.59 xG in a 1-1 draw.

Milan came from 2-0 behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Lazio on Saturday. Diego Moreira was the hero off the bench, scoring twice in quick succession, Amorim’s side ending with 66% possession and 16-8 shots.

Eagles Flying High

Benfica have won seven straight matches, scoring 25 goals with four conceded. They have been winning big on the road, thumping Casa Pia (7-0), Maritimo (3-0) and Moreirense (4-0).

Vangelis Pavlidis has been leading the way up front, the Greek striker scoring 14 goals in his previous 10 appearances. Gianluca Prestianni has stepped up, scoring in his last three games.

The Eagles had to do it the hard way against Gil Vicente on Saturday after falling behind in the 7th minute. Pavlidis scored twice and Prestianni found the net to secure a 3-1 victory, ending with 17-4 shots.

Marco Silva spoke about his team selection: “I made one substitution; maybe I should have made more so we’d be a little fresher. You never know how the team is going to react.”

“I chose to make just one, bringing in a player who’s been playing a lot lately, Enzo, because I knew he was in good shape and has been doing his job very well. And maybe I should have made more.”

AC Milan (3-4-3) Mike Maignan; Mario Gila, Koni De Winter, Strahinja Pavlovic; Samuel Chukwueze, Luka Modrić, Adrien Rabiot, Diego Moreira; Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Gonçalo Ramos, Alphadjo Cissé
