Key contributors like Quinton de Kock and Daniel Sams are peaking at the right time. The Kingsmen, meanwhile, come into the tie with only four wins in the regular season and have struggled in recent matches, particularly in tight run chases. Jamaica Kingsmen Struggling in recent Games

Jamaica Kingsmen lost to Barbados Tridents by two wickets in a thrilling last-over finish during Match 34 of the CPL at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown.

The Kingsmen were put in to bat and posted 150/9 in their 20 overs, anchored by Maaz Sadaqat's 47 off 34 balls. However, after his dismissal, the innings stalled under pressure from the Tridents' bowlers. Late contributions from Hassan Khan (16) and Keacy Carty (15) pushed Jamaica to 150/9 in their 20 overs.

The Kingsmen had the Tridents on the ropes at 33/3 inside six overs due to tight bowling and a direct hit run-out by Rovman Powell. Sadrack Descartes single-handedly kept the Tridents in the hunt with 56 off 42 balls.

The Kingsmen bowlers and fielders were unable to sustain the pressure and defend the 17 runs required off the final over, which allowed Gudakesh Motie to clinch victory off the last ball.

The Kingsmen captain Rovman Powell later pointed to sloppy outfield fielding and missed chances as the margins that cost them the match.

Despite the narrow loss, Jamaica Kingsmen also qualified for the playoffs, finishing fourth on the points table.

Reeza Hendricks has scores of 19, 37, 40, and 42 in his last six innings, while Hunain Shah has figures of 2/25, 1/31, 2/27, 2/23, and 2/34 in his last five matches.
