Pegula Makes Confident Wimbledon Start
Jessica Pegula moved into the second round at Wimbledon after defeating Darja Vidmanova in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3. She lost her serve three times and converted six of the eight break points she created during the match.

Sorribes Tormo Targets Best Wimbledon Run
Sara Sorribes Tormo registered a straight-set victory over Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in the first round at Wimbledon, winning 6-2, 6-3. It was just her second tour-level main-draw win since February last year.
The Spaniard took a six-month break last year to focus on her mental health before returning to the tour towards the end of the season. She continued to struggle for form until April, but in recent weeks she has shown signs of improvement by reaching back-to-back WTA 125 semifinals, along with winning a W75 title.
She is now looking to build on those results at Wimbledon. In her previous seven main-draw appearances here, she has cleared the opening round four times, but each of those runs ended in the second round.
