Cedevita’s performance this season has been below expectations, further hampered by the absence of key players due to injuries. In contrast, Hapoel Jerusalem have established themselves as one of the front-runners in this year’s EuroCup. Given the current form and strength of both teams, analysts recommend backing Hapoel Jerusalem to secure a victory in their upcoming clash, even with a -2.5 handicap.

Match Preview
These two sides locked horns in the EuroCup for two seasons in a row, and the score is tied at 2-2. The Israeli side are tagged as favorites on paper to win on Tuesday, since Cedevita Olimpija are having a rocky start to the new campaign.
Cedevita Olimpija Finally End Their Losing Run
Cedevita Olimpija started the new season with a disappointing performance and a surprising loss in the Slovenian Super Cup to Krka 71-67, shooting just 32% from the field.
Another defeat was registered last week in the EuroCup opening round in Spain, losing to San Pablo Burgos 85-81 in a very close contest. Rihards Lomazs had an amazing match here, scoring 22 points with 7/13 FG shooting.
Their losing run was finally put to an end last weekend in the Adriatic Basketball League opener, outplaying newcomers Cibona 89-76 in front of the home crowd. Cedevita finally stepped up their shooting here, posting 53%, while Matthew Hurt was named man of the match with 21 points.
Hapoel Jerusalem Impressed Last Week
Hapoel Jerusalem had an amazing performance in the EuroCup opening round last week, crushing Rostock 94-73 on a neutral court in Belgrade. Kenneth Lofton dominated the floor with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Also, they had zero problems in the League Cup quarterfinals against Bnei Herzliya, leading by 12 points at half-time and never letting go, advancing to the next stage with an 88-68 win, where Lofton recorded another double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The winning streak came to an end last weekend in the LC semifinals, getting smashed by Maccabi Tel Aviv 88-71 despite holding a minimal lead at half-time.

Verdict
Cedevita's form is far from ideal so far this season, while they also have a couple of big names sidelined with injuries. Hapoel Jerusalem are one of the main favorites to win the EuroCup this season, and I will back them to win this clash with a –2.5 handicap.
