They did great at the previous Asian Games 2023, winning the gold medal after pulling off a massive comeback in the semifinals against China, then beating Jordan in the final.
Just before the Asian Games 2023, the Philippines earned two victories against Jordan 82-81 and Iran 68-56 to keep their World Championship 2027 qualifying hopes alive.
