Sarunas Jasikevicius' side then defeated Besiktas 72-59 to win the Turkish Super Cup, followed by a 78-68 victory against Virtus Bologna in the EuroLeague opening round, where Braxton Key played an amazing role with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Fenerbahce suffered a surprising 98-83 defeat against Bahcesehir Koleji last weekend in the Super Lig premiere, landing just 8 out of 33 three-point attempts.
Bayern Munich Riding a Wave of Early Success
The Bavarians are having a fantastic start to the new season, crushing Bamberg 108-72 in the BBL opener. Johannes Voigtmann was named man of the match, scoring 15 points with seven rebounds and three assists.
They were tagged as big underdogs in the EuroLeague opening round in midweek against Hapoel Tel Aviv but claimed another 86-84 victory, with veteran Johannes Voigtmann landing a three-pointer with ten seconds left on the clock.
Last weekend, Bayern had zero problems against Alba Berlin in the German top flight, claiming a convincing 95-61 victory in front of the home crowd, allowing just 24 points in the first half.
