Caleb Wilson’s odds of being named NBA Rookie of the Year for 2026/27 have shortened following his impressive performances for the Chicago Bulls in the Summer League.

Wilson arrived in Las Vegas carrying the expectations that come with being the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and just a few games into the pre-season, the Bulls rookie has already exceeded them.
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the standout performers of the tournament, flashing the two-way versatility, scoring ability and defensive instincts that made him one of the most coveted prospects in his draft class.

Wilson announced himself with a record-breaking Summer League debut, pouring in 35 points against the Memphis Grizzlies while adding five rebounds, two steals and three blocks. He knocked down seven of his 11 three-point attempts and showed the confidence to take over offensively despite the Bulls falling just short in a 97-96 defeat.

Rather than slowing down after his spectacular opener, Wilson has continued to impress over his last two performances, and that has not gone unnoticed by the sportsbooks. Having been 10/1 to win Rookie of the Year following the draft, the Bulls youngster is now into 5/1 to be named the league’s best ‘newcomer’ at the end of the season.

He faces stiff competition though. Memphis forward Cameron Boozer remains the market favourite at 16/5 after entering the league as one of the most polished prospects in the class, and also ahead of him are Darryn Peterson, AJ Dybantsa and Darius Acuff Jr.

Nevertheless, Wilson's performances have made the bookies sit up and take notice. His combination of scoring, shot-making and defensive playmaking has made him one of the biggest risers among this year's rookie class, and if he carries that momentum into the regular season, his Rookie of the Year odds could shorten even further before opening night.

Latest NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

16/5 Cameron Boozer
14/5 Darryn Peterson
4/1 AJ Dybantsa
9/2 Darius Acuff Jr
5/1 Caleb Wilson
