New York head to Philadelphia having won back-to-back games to improve their record to 2-3.
The Knicks began their defence of the NBA crown with a 106-100 defeat to Philadelphia, and failed to rebound quickly as they faced a tough early schedule.
They were beaten 107-103 in their road opener at Boston, before returning home for a 111-102 defeat to Orlando.
New York finally got off the mark on Tuesday though, as they ended Detroit’s perfect start to the season with a 111-97 victory at the Garden.
The Knicks followed that up 24 hours later, as they travelled to Chicago to beat the Bulls 133-127.
Philadelphia 76ers Off To 4-1 Start
Philadelphia go into this matchup having made a strong start to the season, winning four of their first five games.
The 76ers opened with a trip to face defending champions New York, and they spoiled ‘banner night’ with a 106-100 victory over the Knicks.
They followed that up in their home opener as they downed Cleveland, 114-106, and backed that up with a 127-116 success against Milwaukee.
Philadelphia’s perfect start finally came to an end last Sunday as they were beaten 106-93 by Detroit.
The 76ers issued an immediate response however, as they travelled to Indiana to beat the Pacers, 114-109.
Verdict
New York have kick-started their campaign, but I need to see more than a narrow win over a Chicago team that does not play good defense.
