A flurry of late goals left one football punter celebrating a windfall of over £30,000 on Tuesday night.

The William Hill customer staked £1.50 on a fourfold accumulator on the Champions League, and some late drama turned it into a winner.

Backing Liverpool to win 2-0, Tottenham to win 2-1, Ajax to win 3-1 and Bayern to win 2-0, the customer’s betslip looked dead and buried heading into injury time.

However, Francisco Conceicao’s late goal kept the bet alive, and then Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Darwin Nunez each scored with the last kick of their respective games to complete an astonishing turnaround.

The cumulative odds for correctly predicting the four correct scores were 13,584/1, which the punter staked £1.50 to generate returns of £20,377.50.

However, thanks to William Hill’s Bet Boost feature, which allows customers to enhance the odds of their choosing on a football accumulator of three selections or more, the punter netted an extra £10,188.75.

“Imagine still needing three goals heading into injury time to land a four-fold ACCA, and then minutes later being £30,000 richer,” William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps told FreeTips.com.

“Simply amazing. I can’t remember a punter winning such a huge amount, from the smallest of stakes, and in the unlikeliest of circumstances.

“What makes it even more astonishing is that the customer played their daily Bet Boost on the ACCA, resulting in an increased profit of over £10,000. Well played!”
