Former Olympic silver medallist Whittaker has rebounded from the disappointing draw with Liam Cameron in October 2024 by ensuring the judges would not be needed in each of his last four fights.
He won the rematch with Cameron in emphatic fashion, knocking his opponent out in the second round, and then followed that up with back-to-back first-round stoppage successes against Benjamin Gavazi and Braian Nahuel Suarez.
The 29-year-old Englishman then made it four-in-a-row in June, as he marked his US debut with a second-round knockout of Richard Rivera, and that victory has him on the brink of landing a shot at the IBF crown.
Standing in his way is Wallace, who has lost just once in 17 professional fights and enters this contest having rebounded from that defeat with a 10-fight win streak.
