Conor Benn Boasts 24-1 Record

Conor Benn enters this contest having rebounded from his first ever defeat with a victory that took his record to 24-1 (14 KOs).

Benn made his professional debut in April 2016 and won a minor WBA title as he won his first 21 fights to climb the ladder.

Following the second-round knockout of Chris van Heerden in April 2022, the 29-year-old Londoner was scheduled to face Chris Eubank Jr in a fight that would continue the storied rivalry between the two men’s families.

However, a failed drugs test wiped out the contest and, and Benn’s fight to clear his name kept him on the sidelines until September 2023.

When ‘The Destroyer’ did return he made his comeback on US soil, scoring unanimous decision wins over Rodolfo Orozco and Peter Dobson.

Those victories set up a long-awaited showdown with Eubank Jr, and in April 2025 the two men finally shared the ring, with Eubank Jr claiming a unanimous decision victory.

The pair agreed to an immediate rematch though, and last November Benn avenged that defeat with a unanimous decision success of his own.

Regis Prograis Lost 2 Of Last 3 Fights

Regis Prograis is a former world light-welterweight champion with a professional record of 30-3 (24 KOs).

Prograis won the first 22 fights of his career, and that perfect run earned him a shot in the World Boxing Super Series tournament.

Having out-pointed Terry Flanagan in the quarter-finals, he claimed the WBA world title with a sixth-round knockout of Kiryl Relikh in the semi-finals.

The 37-year-old American failed to win the tournament though, and surrendered his world title when he dropped a majority decision to Josh Taylor in the final.

Prograis put that setback behind him with a third-round knockout of Juan Heraldez in late 2020, and the following year he backed that up with a sixth-round stoppage of Ivan Redkach.

‘Rougarou’ then stopped Tyrone McKenna in the sixth in March 2022 to land a shot at the WBC world title, and later that year he became a two-time world champion by stopping Jose Zepeda in 11.

He managed one successful defence – beating Danielito Zorrilla by split decision – before losing the belt to Devin Haney via unanimous decision in December 2023.

Prograis then dropped another decision in 2024, to Jack Catterall, before finally ending his drought with a unanimous decision success against Joseph Diaz last August.

Benn vs Prograis - What They Said

Conor Benn: “My last fight there [at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium] showed the world exactly who I am and what I'm about. Fighting on the biggest stages, in the biggest shows, I fear no one! I'm fully locked in and ready to deliver another statement performance.”

Regis Prograis: “Last time I fought in London, Conor Benn was on my undercard, so this is a full-circle moment for me. But this circle will close with me teaching him a lesson. He's not fighting some weight-drained super-middleweight. I am in shape and will bring home this victory.”

Verdict

Regis Prograis is a former champion who has shared the ring with some elite talent, but it is not unfair to say that his best days are long behind him.

Conor Benn is the younger and fresher fighter who has campaigned around this weight a lot more frequently, so we are backing ‘The Destroyer’ to get the job done inside the distance.
